Elmvale & District Lions Club Funds Kitchen Upgrades

The Elmvale & District Lions Club presented a cheque to the GBCSC this winter for $7,500. The funds will help the Centre expand the use of their kitchen area for programs over the coming months.

A large portion of the funds donated helped with the purchase of an industrial dishwasher. This was needed so the GBCSC could receive a safe food preparation certification from Simcoe County Health Unit. The Centre can now expand programming related to food and nutrition such as Soup for the Soul, which now happens monthly.

The generous donation from the Elmvale Lions also covered the cost of the dishwasher’s installation as well as other related supplies.

The Elmvale & District Lions Club Annual Golf Tournament in July once again raised funds for the GBCSC to support important projects including the kitchen upgrade. The GBCSC is grateful for the ongoing support from the Club.
