Organize a Fundraiser

The Centre relies completely on the generous support of our community. Anyone or any group can help support the GBCSC by organizing an event or fundraiser in support of the GBCSC.

Fundraising events hosted in support of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre are third-party events, meaning the planning and execution of the event is handled by outside parties, with proceeds to benefit the Centre. GBCSC staff are available as a resource to your event and can help promote it. Some third-party events could be…

  • A dance or music concert
  • Online auction
  • Community garage sale
  • Sports tournament (baseball, golf, hockey, dodgeball)
  • Garden or home tour
  • A special birthday or anniversary party

Over the past year, thousands of dollars was raised for the GBCSC thanks to third-party fundraising events. Below are just a few examples…

Ella Simonetta turned her 9th birthday celebration into a GBCSC fundraiser. She raised over $1,700 including a $750 matching donation from Alair Homes.
