The legal name you must include in your bequest is Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre. The charitable business number is: 840027205RR0001

Unrestricted Bequest

An unrestricted bequest allows you to direct your gift to the area in greatest need of funding.

Example:

“I give Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre the sum of $_______ OR _______ per cent of my estate to be directed to the area in greatest need of funding as per GBCSC. “

Residual Bequest

A residual bequest directs the proceeds remaining from your estate after all taxes, debts and expenses have been fulfilled.

Example:

“I give Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre, all OR _____ per cent of the remaining value of my estate.”

Contingent Bequest

A contingent bequest allows the individual to designate property or funds to GBCSC only if specific individuals do not survive.

Example:

“I give Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre $_______ OR _______ per cent of my estate if (name beneficiaries) do not survive me.”

The Mission of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre is to provide emotional, physical, social, spiritual support, education and information as a complement to the medical system for people affected by cancer.

 The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre strives to be recognized as a source of support, education and motivation for people living with cancer. their families and caregivers. Our vision is to be recognized throughout North Simcoe, South Georgian Bay, and the surrounding communities as a place of hope, comfort, strength and courage.

Land Acknowledgement

The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre acknowledges that we are situated on the traditional land of the Anishinabek people. This includes the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Pottawatomi nations, collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy and the Chippewa Tri-Council comprised of Beausoleil First Nation, Rama First Nation, Georgina Island First Nation, Alderville, Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Missisauga’s of Scugog Island First Nation.
