Trivia Night

Put your inventory of useless knowledge to the test and enjoy a fun-filled evening of friendly competition with friends, family, coworkers, and fellow community members, all while helping enhance local cancer support. Learn More Here.

 

On Friday, April 10th, at the Penetanguishene Legion, for the 4th annual GBCSC Trivia Night – a part of our annual Cancer Awareness Month campaign. Registration includes 6 rounds of trivia, dinner, dessert, coffee and tea, plus a cash bar, raffle, and door prizes, with plenty of chances to win and even more reasons to laugh along the way. Teams of up to eight can register for $250 per table.

Camp Hope

We are excited to welcome families to Beausoleil Island for a weekend of connection, care, and camp fun! Hosted at YMCA Camp Kitchikewana, this special Camp Hope combines the trusted supports of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre with the adventure of camp life. Families can take part in a wide variety of activities, or simply enjoy the chance to slow down together in a supportive environment at no cost.

Butter Tart Classic

Saturday, June 13th & Sunday, June 14th, 2026

Get ready for a fun and competitive weekend on the courts at the 4th Annual Butter Tart Classic, proudly hosted in partnership with Taylored Pickleball. This popular tournament brings together pickleball players from across the region for two days of exciting match play, great sportsmanship, and plenty of community spirit, all in support of local cancer support programs.

 

Men’s and Women’s brackets will compete on Saturday, June 13, with the Mixed Division taking place on Sunday, June 14. Registration is $65 per player and includes a guarantee of at least four games in a well-run tournament environment. Whether you are playing to win or playing for fun, the Butter Tart Classic is a great way to enjoy the sport while making a meaningful impact in the community.

The Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope

The 15th annual Cycle for Hope is ready to ride once again. Starting from either Penetanguishene or Collingwood, this family-friendly event invites you to spend the day cycling in support of local individuals and families impacted by cancer. Ride alongside friends, family, and neighbours as we come together to make a meaningful difference in our communities. Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or simply looking for a fun way to give back, there is a route for everyone.

Registration is $40 during Early Bird pricing until May 18, increasing to $75 afterward. Lunch is included for all participants.

A dedicated, family-friendly Ice Cream Route is also available, perfect for those who prefer a more relaxed pace or want to participate in their own way. Children 10 and under can join this route for free.

Join us from shoreline to finish line and be part of something that truly matters.

The Barrel Bash

Saturday, September 19th & Sunday, September 20th, 2026

The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre (GBCSC), in partnership with Taylored Pickleball Academy, is excited to present the 2nd Annual Barrel Bash Pickleball Tournament on September 19 & 20, 2026, at the Thornbury Outdoor Pickleball Courts. Building on the success of its inaugural year, this growing event brings players together for a fun and engaging weekend of pickleball, all in support of those impacted by cancer in our community.

 

All funds raised through the Barrel Bash support programs and services offered by the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre in Collingwood. By participating, players are helping to ensure that individuals and families facing cancer have local access to the care, resources, and community they need.
