Access to GBCSC programs and services is open members. Membership is free. To sign up to become a member, select here.

To be eligible to become a GBCSC Member, you must fit one of the following criteria:

  1. Have been diagnosed with cancer and are either awaiting treatment/surgery, currently undergoing treatment, or are within 1 year of your most recent cancer treatment/surgery.
  2. Are in remission and still being followed by your treatment team/doctor.
  3. Are a caregiver to someone who has been diagnosed with cancer and us either awaiting treatment/surgery, currently undergoing treatment, or are within 1 year of their most recent cancer treatment/surgery. Caregivers may be considered direct caregivers, dependents, or household members of the individual who has been diagnosed.

The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre services residents of North Simcoe, parts of Springwater Township, and South Georgian Bay. If you are not sure if you fall within our catchment area, or if you believe you are slightly outside of our catchment area but do not have comparable support close to home, please do not hesitate to contact us.

OUR MISSION

The Mission of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre is to provide emotional, physical, social, spiritual support, education and information as a complement to the medical system for people affected by cancer.

 The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre strives to be recognized as a source of support, education and motivation for people living with cancer. their families and caregivers. Our vision is to be recognized throughout North Simcoe, South Georgian Bay, and the surrounding communities as a place of hope, comfort, strength and courage.

Land Acknowledgement

The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre acknowledges that we are situated on the traditional land of the Anishinabek people. This includes the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Pottawatomi nations, collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy and the Chippewa Tri-Council comprised of Beausoleil First Nation, Rama First Nation, Georgina Island First Nation, Alderville, Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Missisauga’s of Scugog Island First Nation.
