GBCSC Receives Major Donation from Gbay Gals Give

The GBCSC received a significant donation this fall from Gbay Gals Give of $22,925. This funding will be put towards the Centre’s GAP (Gas Accommodation Parking) Fund, which helps our members cover transportation costs related to treatments.

The Centre was one of two charities to receive funds this fall. Gbay Gals Give has donated to local charities in our community twice annually in the spring and the fall since 2018. Our vision is to be recognized throughout North Simcoe, South Georgian Bay, and the surrounding communities as a place of hope, comfort, strength and courage.

The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre acknowledges that we are situated on the traditional land of the Anishinabek people. This includes the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Pottawatomi nations, collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy and the Chippewa Tri-Council comprised of Beausoleil First Nation, Rama First Nation, Georgina Island First Nation, Alderville, Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Missisauga’s of Scugog Island First Nation.
